Usages:
For isolation and enumeration of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in water samples.
Principle:
Peptone provides nitrogen; glycerol carbon source; potassium and magnesium can promote green pus pigment production; hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide is a selective antibacterial agent, as a quaternary ammonium salt cationic detergent may bacterial cells release nitrogen and phosphorus and suppress non-Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria; agar is a medium coagulant.

Cetrimide 0.3g
Agar 13.6g
Final pH 7.2 ± 0.2
How to use?
1. Suspend 45.3g in 1L of distilled water, stirring heated to boiling to completely dissolve, autoclave at 121? for 15 minutes.
2. Diluted and treated samples.
